Former Manchester United player Ryan Giggs was born Ryan Joseph Giggs at St David’s Hospital in Canton, Wales, to Danny Wilson (Father) and Lynne Giggs (Mother, now Lynne Johnson).
Ryan’s dad, Danny, is a former rugby union player. He played for Cardiff RFC and the Welsh national team.
Frankly speaking, the son may have inherited balance and athleticism from his dad, as Ryan was introduced to sports early as a child.
Giggs comes from a mixed race. His paternal grandfather was from Sierra Leone. Also, he has revealed of racism that he faced during his childhood.
Ryan has a younger brother, Rhodri. The two brothers grew up in a suburban area of western Cardiff.
His brother is a former manager of Salford City. The club plays in EFL League.
Ryan changed his surname to Giggs after his parents separated when he was a teenager. He took his mother’s surname.
