Zoella (Zoella Elizabeth Sugg) is an English vlogger, businesswoman, and author best known for her YouTube channel. In 2009, Sugg started uploading videos to her YouTube account, which has since grown to over 10 million subscribers. She launched Zoella Beauty, a cosmetics line that was dubbed the “largest beauty launch of the year” in 2014. Sugg went on to launch a line of complementary homeware products, and the combined revenue of the two firms was expected to be £3.8 million in 2019.
Sugg signed a three-book deal with Penguin Books in 2014, and her debut novel, Girl Online, was released in November of that year, breaking the record for the highest first-week sales of a rookie novelist. Since then, she has published a nonfiction book, Cordially Invited, and is currently working on a series of books called The Magpie Society with co-author Amy McCulloch.
