Martin Menem is an Argentine politician, lawyer, and entrepreneur serving as the Provincial Deputy of La Rioja for La Libertad Avanza. As mentioned earlier, Menem is also the president of Gentech of Argentina SA.
Menem worked in a promotions company and at 22 while studying law. During that time, he came across the idea of Gentech. A trip to the U.S. in 1997 found him in front of a hall full of brands and types of dietary supplements.
Furthermore, Martin began researching the market and came across a brand trying to expand outside the U.S. Thus, he agreed on the origins of Gentech, with importing seven products in 1998.
His company now manufactures more than 80 own-brand products and also for third parties. The National Food Institute also gave the plant the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification in 2020.
