English actor, musician, and director Martin Kemp is best known for playing bass in the new wave band Spandau Ballet and for playing Steve Owen in “EastEnders.” “Journeys to Glory,” the group’s first studio album, was released in 1981. Their albums “True” from 1983 and “Paradise” from 1984 both peaked at number one in their respective countries (the UK, the Netherlands, and New Zealand). He is Gary Kemp’s younger brother, who is also an actor and a member of Spandau Ballet.

He came in third place in the tenth season of Celebrity Big Brother in the year 2012, and in 2017 he served as a judge on the BBC program “Let It Shine.” In 1990’s “The Krays,” he made his acting debut as Reggie Kray, and in 1992’s “Jackanory,” he made his television debut in an additional role. He made his directorial debut in 2008 with the short “Karma Magnet,” followed by “Stalker” in 2010 and “Top Dog” in 2014. He recently costarred with Jason Watkins and Rob Brydon in “McDonald & Dodds” in February 2021. On March 24, 2021, an episode of ITV’s “DNA Journey” featured Kemp and his son Roman.
