He went to Wasilla High School for his education. During his high school years, he was a member of the school’s hockey team. He did, however, drop out of school later on.
His family has been going through their own problems. Johnston’s mother was a prescription drug abuser. Both of his parents were struggling financially, and he was living in the Palins’ home at the time.
