When he played a school newspaper reporter in the TV series Flashback, Amit Rahav’s sexual orientation first piqued the public’s interest. Soon after, people began to wonder if Amit was a secretly gay man in real life.
And, yes, Amit is a gay man. When asked about his coming-out story, he once said:
“It wasn’t a surprise to my family because there wasn’t a closet to escape from… From a young age, everyone knew and everything was on the table. There was no dramatic discussion. There was no pain. It was almost comical. I went to my mother and told her how I felt, and she smiled and said, “It’s truly the surprise of the year.” Everyone else in my family, including my grandmother and grandfather, didn’t seem to mind. That is exactly how it should be.”
Amit certainly portrayed the said character on-screen with panache, regardless of which side resonated with him the most. It’s no surprise that it was well-received.
Surprisingly, Amit’s intimate moments leaned on both ends of the spectrum. According to his Instagram posts, the “Dig” actor appeared to be close to Etai Ariav. But he also hides intimate moments with female partners.
Fans couldn’t tell if Amit and alleged partner Etai were dating until the actor’s camp confirmed it. On Instagram, however, they appeared to be content to be in each other’s company.
In April 2020, Amit and Kelly Osbourne engaged in a flirtatious Instagram exchange. Furthermore, the reality star referred to the actor as her “future husband.”
