Wayne is a car aficionado who was inspired by his father, Robert, who drove the first Rosso Chiaro 250 SWB Ferrari in 1960. And he’s been working with him on classics like the Ford Model A, Duesenbergs, Lincolns, and Packards in his shop ever since. Essex Television Group Inc. CEO Jim Astrausky recognized his lifelong passion for antique cars. Jim then approached him about hosting a television show called Chasing Classic Cars. On September 9, 2008, it debuted on the Discovery Channel. Wayne and his crew have appeared in a total of 190 episodes of the show. Among the popular antique automotive collections on display are the 1931 Packard 840 Roadster, 1956 Bimbo Racer V12, 1931 Cadillac Series 355-A, 1949 Buick Roadmaster, America’s First VW Bug, 1956 Citroen 2CV, 1952 Muntz Jet, 1963 Ferrari 250 Berlinetta “Lusso,” and others.
