Lauren Tewes has been divorced. She has been married three times. Her first husband was advertising director John Wassel. They met in 1977 while auditioning for a ‘Hickory Farms dairy commercial. The couple announced their engagement in November of the same year, after only three months of dating.
On November 20, 1977, they married. The couple divorced in 1982 due to her cocaine addiction. She later married percussionist Paolo Nonni in 1986. They also had a daughter, but she died at the age of one month due to being born prematurely.
