She was invited by a senior producer for CNN to serve as a “television and dotcom reporter” immediately after listening to Kristie giving a speech on the internet in China at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club, Hong Kong in the year 2000. Beginning from the year 2001 Kristie hosted the daily World Report which made her earn a 2006 Asian Television Award as Best News Presenter or Anchor when it was previously called CNN Today.
Most importantly, Kristie occasionally also hosts the talk show named Talk Asia. Before, she hosted CNN’s technology program called Spark, their daily “Tech Watch” segment, and the monthly program Global Office. Kristie hosted CNNI’s premier Asia-Pacific Primetime show News Stream until it was canceled due to budget cuts from 2010 to 2018. However, since then Kristie has focused on feature programming like documentaries and anchors special breaking news events. Additionally, she also fills in for Rosemary Church and Max Foster on their editions of CNN Newsroom.
