- Moving on to his professional career, Kevin began his football career as a fullback. After that, he understood that this was not the field for him and made the life-changing decision to pursue acting.
- As a result, he decided to pursue a career as a stand-up comedian. Surprisingly, he obtained his first TV job as a presenter and host for the show New Candid Camera in 1991, after displaying a series of stand-up comedies.
- Also, after meeting his buddy and fellow comic Ray Romano, who had recently received fame for Star Search, his career shot off to new heights (1983).
- Similarly, he had a recurrent role on the popular television sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. It was such a smash that he won a part on his own spin-off, King of Queens, which aired from 1997 through 2007.
