Veach pursued his college education at the University of Delaware while also making his mark in college football. Between 1998 and 2001, he showcased his skills as a running back, wide receiver, and return specialist for the Fightin’ Blue Hens. Interestingly, his teammate, quarterback Matt Nagy, joined Veach in 2009 with the Eagles. The duo later followed coach Andy Reid, transitioning to the Chiefs in 2013.
A Rise to the Top
Since 2017, Veach has held the pivotal position of general manager for the Kansas City Chiefs. His tenure has seen remarkable success, marked by two Super Bowl victories (LIV and LVII). As the Chiefs head into the 2023 NFL season, it marks Veach’s 11th season with the team and his 7th season as its esteemed GM. Throughout his career, he’s been hailed for his ability to navigate the salary cap intricacies and negotiate impactful deals.
