A TikTok-famous plastic surgeon had her Ohio medical license suspended on Wednesday after she allegedly harmed patients while live-streaming surgery.
The State Medical Board of Ohio voted to terminate the Surgeon’s medical license due to her “failure to meet standards of care.”
In Addition, Grawe’s license had initially suspended in November 2022, but Wednesday’s decision means she will never be able to practice medicine in Ohio again.
Moreover, a Board member mentioned she live-streamed some of their operations, spoke into a camera, and answered questions from viewers.
The Powell, Ohio-based clinic suffered profound implications due to the cancellation.
Similarly, Dr. Grawe’s TikTok account was private, indicating a shift in her online image.
The consequences of a license suspension affected Dr. Roxy Plastic Surgery’s operations.
Dr. Grawe revealed that she had to fire 20 clinic employees in response to the stress and media attention.
However, concerns about the privacy of patients and the unprofessional nature of multiple of her social media posts were raised.
The medical board’s investigation uncovered other incidents in which patients experienced issues after having treatment at the clinic, raising more concerns about Dr. Grawe’s techniques.
After the board’s decision, Grawe stated that she aimed to employ her videos to educate her fans about cosmetic surgery.
“But, as I stand here today, I see how many of those videos appeared silly and unprofessional,” she continued, according to the New York Times.
