Fani, a Commonwealth attorney, wed Fred Willis, the love of her life. The two girls born into the marriage were Nia Kisura and Kinaya Imani Willis. Their youngest daughter is 21 and their older daughter is 23 years old.
Fani is active on social media and has posted about her daily activities there. She appeared overly preoccupied with her professional future and her current position as an attorney. She provided the judge with facts about her request for the special grand jury to conduct an inquiry into the Trump influence.
Fani began her legal career in January 1996 as a contract attorney at the Kendall Law Firm in East Point, Georgia, where she served as a client advocate in cases including contracts, family law, and criminal defense. Following that, she was hired at the Law Offices of Fani Willis in Atlanta, Georgia, where the lawyer represented clients in family law issues and kids as a Guardian ad Litem in Juvenile Court.
After three years, the prosecutor Fani took a job as an assistant solicitor for the City of Atlanta, where she defended the city in cases involving violations of local ordinances. She was given the responsibility of presenting all homicide preliminary hearings before the Municipal Court as a special prosecutor.
Fani joined the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office as the executive assistant district attorney after serving for almost two years. She handled thousands of criminal affairs, as a consultant on over 100 cases at trial, and prosecuted high-profile homicide and sexual assault cases.
Fani was the only lawyer to get three Lewis Slaton Attorney of the Year awards. In January 2011, she rejoined Fulton County as Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney after nine years. She used to be in charge of the Trial Division’s attorneys, detectives, and personnel.
Willis, Fani a 50-year-old Willis, the district attorney, is 50 years old right now. On October 27, 1971, she was born in Los Angeles, California. She is a supporter of the Democratic Party. In 1989, the lawyer graduated from Regina High School after attending classes there. Later, in 1989, she enrolled at Howard University and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government.
Willis enrolled at Emory University School of Law in 1993 and completed a doctor of law program there. She joined Lamar Inn of Court and was given a Presidential award.
After that, Willis spent 16 years as a prosecutor for the Fulton County district attorney’s office. The cheating scandal at Atlanta Public Schools was the lawyer’s most well-known case. She ran for the Fulton County Superior Court in 2018 but lost the election despite maintaining a private practice.
