In April of 2015, Joshua Efird and Pumpkin Shannon met. They hit it off right away and started dating. Pumpkin wrote on Instagram on March 1, 2017, that she had no idea he would also be the man she would marry. She went on to say that she was grateful to God for bringing him into her life.
Pumpkin and Joshua announced their pregnancy in August of 2017. She shared a picture of the baby’s sonogram. Furthermore, on October 6, the same year, they announced that they were expecting a baby girl together. Pumpkin posted, “So happy to announce that I and Josh are expecting a precious baby girl.” I am so excited to meet our little princess and begin our family. #Mommy@josh Efird” I already love her more than life itself.
Joshua and Pumpkin welcomed their first child on December 8, 2017. Everyone in the family greeted their precious daughter with open arms. They also set up an Instagram account for her, and as of March 2021, she had 110k followers.
Pumpkin announced they were expecting their second child in April 2021 by sharing multiple positive pregnancy tests on Instagram. “Well, the secret is out for everyone to know now!!!” she wrote. Baby Efird #2 will be born in 2021. We are overjoyed to finally have another blessing after nearly three years.”
Pumpkin and Joshua were still growing strong after years. She expressed gratitude for being the hardest worker and a good father.
When it comes to Pumpkin, her mother was legally blind due to a childhood cataract. Her father, Michael Ford, was convicted as a sex offender after attempting to solicit oral sex from a minor online. Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon married when she was 18 years old.
