While on a soccer team tour to New York at the age of 15, Josephine Skriver was approached about her modeling possibilities. Unique Models, an international modeling agency, quickly signed her. She was solicited by agencies from all around the world. Instead, she elected to remain in school. Soon after graduating from high school in 2011, she began pursuing a modeling career.
Her debut season was in the 2011-2012 Fall/Winter season. As a result, she had the opportunity to open for Alberta Ferretti and close for Prada.

In addition to Rag & Bone, Calvin Klein, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, DKNY, and Christian Dior, she walked the runways for Rag & Bone, Calvin Klein, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, H&M, Dior, Gucci, MAC Cosmetics, Armani Exchange, Bulgari, DKNY, Michael Kors, Topten, G-Shock, Caleres, Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger, Balmain, Karen Millen, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Shu Uemura, Andrew Marc, and Victoria’s Secret have all done career campaigns.

Marie Claire, L’Officiel, Vs., W, Allure, Chinese, Japanese, V magazine, Interview, Russian, and American Vogue, as well as Italian, Brazilian, Swedish, Danish, French Elle, and British, Polish, Mexican, Arabian, and American Harper’s Bazaar, have all featured her on their covers and in editorials. She has walked in every Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show since 2013, which is fortunate. Furthermore, Skriver was named one of the brand’s contractual Angels in February 2016. She was also confirmed as the newest model for the 2020 ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’ on January 22, 2020. On several instances, she has talked openly on LGBT rights.
