The husband and wife team has four children. Joshua, their only son, joined the army after graduating from the United States Military Academy in 2011. Jon’s other son also served as an infantryman in the Vietnam War.
Although Jon keeps his family life out of the spotlight, he does mention them on Twitter from time to time, along with his dog Winston, whom he adores.
