Sleepy grew up listening to the music of his forefathers and gaining inspiration to pursue the craft. Out of all the forms, storytelling piqued the rapper’s interest and led to him honing his craft over time.
And the life he led in the borough became the subject matter of his songs. Sleepy rose to prominence after appearing in Panic Parts 2 and 3. The wordsmith demonstrated his talent as a rapper, establishing him as someone to watch.
He mostly collaborated or was featured with Sheff G, another Brooklyn-based rapper. And the duo made a name for themselves in Brooklyn’s burgeoning drill music scene. On Halloween of 2019, Sleepy released his debut album Don’t Sleep. The album was released on the Winners Circle Entertainment Inc/Empire label.
The 14-track project gave him the push he needed into the underground scene. I Get Luv, Bestie, Tension, and Agony were among the project’s hit singles.
Deep End Freestyle was released by Sleepy on April 3, 2020. On his YouTube channel, the 2-minute fire-filled song received 9.7 million views. With all of the shows and hit songs, Sleepy is stacking the cash that contributes to his ever-increasing net worth.
