Alaina and Crist dated for a few months in 2019; however, shortly before starting her stint on DWTS, on September 16, she revealed in an interview that they had broken up.
Alaina stated on Monday that working on the show has been therapeutic for her, even if she remained silent about the accusations against Crist and did not name him.
“Two weeks before my appearance on this show, I experienced a breakup. It’s been somewhat stressful, but Dancing With the Stars has been the ideal remedy for my shattered heart,” the woman said. ”
This show has become my new romantic partner. My relationship with Dancing With the Stars is going really well.
After dancing to “You Can’t Hurry Love” by the Supremes with partner Gleb Savchenko, Alaina revealed to judge Tom Bergeron that she had “had a little bit of a bad day last week.”
In a week that followed Christian comedian John Crist’s cancellation of the remainder of his 2019 tour dates due to allegations of sexual misconduct by several women, Lauren Alaina, his ex-girlfriend, hinted at their September breakup on Monday night’s Dancing With the Stars show.
Alaina dated Alex Hopkins for six years before she started dating Crist. The couple announced their separation in January 2019 after becoming engaged. The 25-year-old singer says she’s content to be by herself right now.
