In 2012, Ottman Azaitar competed in kickboxing and boxing. He also won several boxing titles. In 2014, he began his professional MMA career. He started out as a member of the Brave Combat Federation. He even led to the BRAVE Combat Federation Lightweight Championship in his third fight for the organization. Following that, he spent several years working for this organization, demonstrating his dedication and hard work.
Ottman made his UFC debut at UFC 242 on September 7, 2019. He defeated Teemu Packalén in a knockout match. Following this, UFC 249 was set to take place. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was forced to close. UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Sakai was the name given to this event. This fight was also called off. It happened once more during UFC Fight Night: Waterson vs. Hill. Ottman won the fight for the second time and received the Performance of the Night Award.
Following that, there was a pandemic. Similarly, on January 23, 2021, he was fired from the UFC for violating COVID-19’s safety protocols.
He did, however, return to the UFC one month later. The UFC gave Ottman a second chance. Azaiat has established a professional record in mixed martial arts by winning all 13 of his matches. He won ten of the thirteen matches via knockout, two via submission, and one via decision.
