The seats that were made available to the businessman from Las Vegas and his son, Sean, were taken by Shahzada Dawood, another businessman, and his 19-year-old son.
Sadly, Mr. Dawood and his son perished together with fellow Titan explorers, British entrepreneur Hamish Harding, former member of the French navy Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and CEO of OceanGate Stockton Rush.
A deep-sea robot sub discovered five important pieces of Titan’s trash on Thursday, two miles below the surface, after a fruitless hunt for the ship. The five passengers were presumed to be all deceased by the authorities.
According to Jay Bloom, Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate, tried to persuade him to board the Titan submarine with his kid in May 2023.
However, owing to other related concerns, the journey was postponed until June 18. According to reports, discounted last-minute tickets were given to Jay and Sean. But Jay was worried about his security.
When the Las Vegas businessman raised his worries about safety, the OceanGate CEO said that although there is a danger, it is still safer than scuba diving or helicopter travel.
Stockton was adamant that it was safer than crossing a road, according to Mr. Bloom. “He was certain that what he was saying was true,” But he was entirely mistaken. He was passionate about what he was doing, Jay Bloom continued.
