The power couple got engaged in March 1996 after their reunion just a year ago.
They subsequently brought a house in Denville and decorated it with the help of Marshall Watson Interiors. By October that year, they moved in, together, too.
Afterward, Dowdy thought of getting married after some more time, but Huff had different plans. Following her lead, they took the wedding vows in December 1996.
The WNBC meteorologist made all the arrangements for the wedding just over a weekend. "He wanted to wait, and I didn't. So I planned our whole wedding in a weekend," she told New York Times in 2003.
Their wedding day became more special since it was the month of Christmas and was on the same day as Huff’s parents’ marriage anniversary. Her parents had got married in the year 1947.
The lawfully married couple is still together and enjoys their holiday times in Hawaii, which she calls their second home.
