Carolyn, Lyn’s mother, was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2005. Dawn’s brother later discussed his mother’s cancer in an interview in 2012, saying,
Seven years ago, she was given six months to a year to live after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer out of nowhere. She had never smoked a cigarette in her life.
She had stage 4 cancer and died lately as a result of her continued cancer treatment. Lyn’s brother once disclosed their parents’ demise in an exclusive interview. He stated,
It’s already been a rough period, having recently lost both of our parents and a cousin,”
Dawn Lyn’s father, Rik Nervik, died on August 22, 2019, at the age of 84, but the cause of her mother’s death remains unknown.
