Tatiana Maslany surprised fans during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, revealing that she and actor Brendan Hines have tied the knot.
The former Orphan Black star, now 36, excitedly shared the news with Colbert, emphasizing the private nature of their union.
Maslany referred to Hines, known for his role in Locke & Key, as a “wonderful guy.” The Emmy winner explained that while some details are best kept private, she felt Colbert was the right person to share the news with.
Maslany shed light on the intimate ceremony, which took place amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Opting for a small and relaxed celebration, she described the day as “very chill.”
However, the couple encountered a memorable moment when their dog, Earl, serving as the ring bearer, temporarily misplaced the rings in a field.
Despite the humorous hiccup, the day proceeded well, and the couple found the rings among a field of sheep.
Maslany and Hines made their public debut as a couple in March, attending the Los Angeles film premiere of X.
Their relationship had been rumored since December 2020, with their first photographed outing together in July 2021.
The couple continued to make appearances at events, including the Los Angeles premiere of Everything Everywhere All At Once and the opening night of Take Me Out at the Helen Hayes Theatre in New York City.
With Maslany set to star in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the couple’s journey continues as they navigate both their personal and professional lives together.
