Kari Lake and Ricki Lake aren’t siblings, and they are also not related to each other. Since the last name of both celebrities matches, people assumed the two to be connected on their own, which is not the case.
Ricki Lake also made it clear through her tweet that Kari Lake and her were not relatives. Still, Ricki showed her support towards Kari. The Hairspray Actress tweeted, “For the record- NO RELATION!” accompanied by a clip of Lake arguing with a reporter about fictitious voter fraud.
In the video, Lake is questioned about her unsupported allegations of voter fraud by MSNBC reporter Vaughn Hillyard, to which she responds, “The last person on the planet Earth that I would tell anything we discovered is you and MSDNC!”
After joining her fellow Republicans in demonizing drag performers as perverts and pedophiles, Lake made global headlines in June when images of her partying with a drag queen emerged online.
In typical Trump manner, she reacted to the photo release by writing a cease-and-desist letter to the queen she was seen with and ratcheting up her disdain for LGBTQ people.
Regarding the other Lake (Ricki, specifically), she has long supported LGBTQ equality. Also, strongly pro-drag queen. It should be noted!
