He joined Detroit Free Press based in Detroit, Michigan back in August 2010. At this present moment, Dave works as a sports reporter for the newspaper. He is commissioned as the Detroit Lions beat reporter. Prior to joining Detroit Free Press, Dave worked at AnnArbor.com. While there, he served for one year and three months as the Michigan football beat reporter. Dave worked there from June 2009 to August 2010.
Previously, he worked at The Oakland Press. There, Dave served as the Detroit Lions reporter for eight years. He worked at The Oakland Press from the year 2001 to 2009. Dave was also commissioned as a Detroit Lions beat writer for the JRC cluster of four suburban Detroit dailies. This included Mt. Pleasant Morning Sun, Daily Tribune, Macomb Daily, and the Oakland Press. He previously reported the Michigan State basketball and football. Dave also worked there as a backup Pistons writer and prep editor.
He started his journalism career back in the year 1999. During that time, Dave worked at Northern Virginia Daily. He served there for one year as a sports reporter and interim sports editor. His role concluded in the year 2000.
