Teniya Morant and Kiera Morant are Ja Morant’s sisters in addition to his parents, Tee Morant and Jamie Morant. His mom, Jamie, was a point guard in high school and played softball in college, while his dad was a high school classmate of Ray Allen and played for Claflin University.
After playing semi-professionally, Tee considered playing basketball in competitions abroad. He gave up playing basketball, however, and started working as a barber after learning that his wife was expecting a child.
The same goes for Usher, who has a mother named Jonetta Patton, a father named Usher Raymond III, and a younger half-brother named James Lackey. His mother, who served as his manager early in his career, reared him mostly after his parents split when he was a toddler.
