McCaffrey is the eldest of five children, with two brothers and sisters, Monica (a basketball player at Georgetown University), Billy (a basketball player at Duke University and Vanderbilt University), Michael, and Meghan.
McCaffrey first made the acquaintance of Lisa (Sime), the Olympic sprinter Dave Sime’s daughter, when they were both Stanford University students. Together, they have four sons who have all played football.
Their eldest kid, Max, played wide receiver for the football team while attending college at Duke. He was an NFL player for many organizations from 2016 to 2018, and he now serves as the offensive coordinator for his father in Northern Colorado.
Ed McCaffrey, the father of McCaffrey, was a football player for the Denver Broncos and Stanford University from 1991 to 2003.
His mother, Lisa Sime, played soccer at Stanford. After playing football at Duke University, his elder brother Max went on to play wide receiver for many NFL teams.
His younger brother, Dylan, is a quarterback at Northern Colorado. His younger brother, Luke, is a wide receiver at Rice University.
Dave Sime, an Olympian track star, is his maternal grandpa. In 2018, McCaffrey, Todd Gurley, Jay Ajayi, and DeAndre Hopkins were all highlighted in an NFL ad.
Olivia Culpo, a fashion star and 2012 Miss Universe, has been McCaffrey’s partner since 2019.
One may argue that Christian McCaffrey’s mother, Lisa McCaffrey, is descended from a more well-known athletic family than the one she married into.
Lisa’s father is an Olympic sprinter from the United States named Dave Sime. She thus grew up with some knowledge of sports.
Although Lisa McCaffrey was an elite amateur soccer player, she chose a different path than her famous father.
