In his early twenties, according to a story by USA Today, Epstein started his career as a math and physics instructor at The Dalton School, a prep school located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
He allegedly taught Alan “Ace” Greenberg’s son, who subsequently assisted Epstein in getting a job with the Company on Wall Street. Alan “Ace” Greenberg is the chairman of the New York-based financial company Bear Stearns.
Epstein eventually made it to the position of “limited partner” at Bear Stearns. According to Newsweek, an anonymous financial institution revealed that as of June 30, 2019, Epstein’s assets were just over $559 million. $112.7 million went into stocks, $14.3 million into fixed income, and around $195 million went into hedge funds and private equity. At the time, just $56.5 million of his assets were in cash.
