Howard Hughes married Ella Botts Rice in 1925. In 1929, he filed for divorce. He dated Katharine Hepburn, Gene Tierney, Janet Leigh, Ava Gardner, Billie Dove, and Rita Hayworth, among others. He was married to Jean Peters from 1957 to 1971.
Hughes died on April 5, 1976, from kidney failure. At the time of his death, he was 70 years old. In Houston’s Glenwood Cemetery, he was laid to rest.
