She currently serves as a general assignment reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News in Los Angele, California. Leticia has been working at the TV station since joining in 2010. She started off as an intern in Palmdale at a cable station and rapidly changed to a general assignment reporter. Leticia reported about the kidnapping of two Antelope Valley teens which began the state’s first Amber Alert.
She later worked for KMIR-TV in Palm Springs as a producer and general assignment reporter in 2003. While there, Leticia reported on the California wildfires in which her family’s home had to be removed. She then worked for KERO-TV in Bakersfield as a general assignment reporter in 2005.
Leticia later moved to Houston, Texas from California in 2007 where she served as a morning reporter at KHOU-TV. In addition, she covered Hurricane Ike in September 2008 as it struck Bayou City. In the aftereffects of Ike, Leticia filed stories concerning the missing as well as the recovery efforts. Leticia later worked for KIAH-TV in 2009. Moreover, she received a Lone Star Emmy Award for her series First Eyes on the Black Tide, for her report concerning the Gulf oil spill from Louisiana.
