Terry Lester began landing jobs in several TV shows and films after breaking into the American film industry. Barbary Coast (1975), Ark II (1976), Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park (1978), Eight Is Enough (1979), and other films were among his early performances.
Following that, he landed a major part as Jack Abbott in The Young and the Restless, opposite Philip Abbott, Robert Ackerman, Deborah Adair, Dennis Cole, and many others. Until 1989, he appeared in 250 episodes of the show. He made an appearance on an episode of Hotel (1985). Other TV appearances include Santa Barbara (1989-1990), As The World Turns (1991-1994), Diagnosis: Murder (1997), Walker, Texas Ranger (1999), and others.
Terry Lester led a quiet life until his death. He was so preoccupied with the movie industry that he didn’t make time for himself to be in a relationship. He was alleged to be gay in a 2003 LA Magazine piece.
In addition, the story alleged that two other stars of The Young and the Restless, Thom Bierdz and Michael Corbett, were gay. Despite this, Lester never declared his sexual orientation in the public. Terry, on the other hand, had a wonderful life before his death.
