Gus and Nilsa revealed during a “Ask Us Anything” segment on Nilsa’s YouTube channel, which has 54.4K subscribers, that they met before Floribama Shore.
To put it another way, they began dating sometime in 2019.
One of Gus’s friends had a crush on Nilsa’s sister, and because they were constantly hanging out, Gus and Nilsa found themselves in close proximity. As a result, they became friends and remained in touch until May 2019, when they considered dating. Initially, it was a long-distance relationship, but as they grew tired of traveling back and forth, they began living together. And they admitted all of this in January 2020.
Thus, on 2nd January 2021, Nilsa was presented with an engagement ring on the occasion of her 27th birthday, while pregnant with her first child with Gus. And, of course, she replied, “Yes!”
She wrote, literally on cloud nine, “I would say yes over and over and over again.” Each and every time. Now… Let’s plan a wedding,” she captioned a photo on Instagram.
The engagement occurred following the parents’ decision to hold a gender reveal on December 14, 2020. They were expecting a baby boy in May 2021.
