On Couples' Cam, Jess made plans to talk to Austin about starting a family together. Spending time with her niece and Austin alone brought Jess to the realization that she wanted to start a family. She just needed to get Austin up to speed.

"I feel like right now is a good time to start a family," Jess said at the time on the show. "We have a house, we both are stable in our careers, we're confident in our relationship. So I wanna make sure that Austin is also 100 percent on board with this because it is a big decision."

It did take a little convincing for Austin to see her point of view, but not much.

As fans know, the couple announced in July 2021 that they were expecting their first baby together, so it wasn't long after their in-show storyline played out. And in March 2024, they revealed to People that they were expecting their second baby together. But, they told the outlet, they plan to wait to find out their second baby's gender, though they're excited all the same to meet baby number two.
