No! Brendan’s oldest is still alive and well. To everyone who started looking for Griffin Fraser following his father’s Oscar speech, he is OK and nothing has happened to him.
Griffin Arthur Fraser, on the other hand, is on the autism spectrum, as Brendan disclosed in an interview with GQ magazine in 2018. “He needs extra love in the world,” the Mummy star remarked, “and he gets it.”
He went on to say,
“[He is] a curative on everyone who meets him, I’ve noticed,” the actor said of his son. “People have some rough edges.” I’m not sure if he just manufactures them…bring things into closer focus, and perhaps find a way to be a little more kind. They don’t prioritize themselves as much around him.”
Brendan has been an outspoken advocate for families caring for autistic children since his diagnosis. Furthermore, whenever he interacts with fans, he makes an effort to reach out to people that have autism.
