Beate Wagner and Axel Schultz are Franz Wagner’s parents. In Germany, his father played handball.
Axel worked hard to mold the player into a basketball player of the quality of Moritz, working closely with the athlete’s mother Beate, a freelance medical writer.
Beate sent him to study at Moritz’s alma mater, the University of Michigan.
The basketball player’s parents were there when he was chosen in the 2021 NBA Draft.
The player’s mother expressed her happiness at seeing her boys play basketball for the Orlando Magic. Due to the age difference, they were never exposed to young teams in Germany.
Wagner’s father gave him plenty of time and chances for practice so he could improve his basketball abilities.
His basketball skills were developed and he became an NBA player thanks in large part to the contributions of both of his parents.
