Fisher Stevens was born in the United States of America on November 27, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois. Sally Fisher, his mother, is a painter and AIDS campaigner, and Norman Fisher, his father, is a furniture businessman. When he was a teenager, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease. “I’m a skinny, white Jewish boy from Chicago,” Steven says.
He grew up in Hyde Park, Highland Park, and Evanston with his sister Julie Stevens. When he was 13 years old, his parents divorced. He relocated to New York with his mother when his parents divorced.
