Authorities disclosed the body’s discovery on the ranch hidden by a thicket of bushes during a press briefing on Tuesday.
Even though an official identification has not yet been made, according to the police, they are certain that the deceased was Evelyn Guardado.
Breitbart Texas claims that after Guardado’s family informed neighborhood authorities about her kidnapping, an investigation was opened.
Guardado was a certified police officer who had previously worked as a deputy constable in Maverick County.
The missing woman’s phone was turned off shortly after she vanished, which was found by family members after numerous unsuccessful calls to it.
Guardado’s gray Dodge Charger was found by authorities on Thursday in an Eagle Pass apartment complex. According to Federico Garza, the chief of police in Eagle Pass, the automobile was taken as evidence.
Evelyn’s family began their investigation after requesting security camera footage from surrounding businesses to determine her route after she left work out of irritation.
They were successful when a local department store’s CCTV system saw her car approaching a neighborhood less than a mile from the Rio Grande.
The discovery of Evelyn’s vehicle at a nearby property, where it had been before she moved into the apartment building, allowed police to find it.
On Monday, Chief Garza told the media that an arrest had been made in the case.
Garza asserts that Jesus Esteban Vasquez, an Eagle Pass resident, was arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle after moving Evelyn’s Dodge from his home to an apartment the day after she vanished.
