On the final day of the Weekend program GMA on May 13, Eva was honored by her coworkers. Following her encounter with T.J. Holmes, Amy Robach’s replacement on GMA3 was named Eva Pilgrim. She makes an appearance on GMA3: What You Need To Know alongside DeMarco Morgan and Dr. Jennifer Ashton. In May 2023, Pilgrim posted on Instagram that she and DeMarco Morgan will take over for Robach and Holmes, respectively. She stated:
“I appreciate you,” Growing up in South Carolina as a little child, I could never have imagined this. Many of you are still there, so thank you to everyone who has helped me along the path, she said. I love everybody.
Four months after letting go of Holmes and Robach, ABC named the new permanent co-anchors of the morning debate program. The former co-stars first gained notoriety in November 2022 when they were frequently seen making out in public.
