Iglesias was born on May 8, 1975, in Madrid, Spain, to Julio Iglesias, a Spanish musician, and Isabel Preysler, a Filipina-Spanish socialite and magazine editor. He will be 46 years old in 2021. He did not have a stable childhood because he lived with his mother at first, but then moved in with his father in Miami. Elvira Olivares, the nanny, was mostly responsible for their upbringing. He has had a passion for singing since he was a child.
He is a Spaniard by birth. He also comes from a mixed ethnic ancestry that includes Spanish (particularly Galician Spanish), 1/8th Puerto Rican [Spanish], some Filipino [Kapampangan], and potentially distant Austrian ancestors. Iglesias received his education at the famous Gulliver Preparatory School. He afterwards went on to the University of Miami to study business. He did, however, drop out of college to pursue a career in music.
