Mathieu van der Poel, a Dutchman, won the “Hell of the North” race on Sunday, becoming the first Dutchman to win the Paris-Roubaix.
He stunned his rivals with a 15-kilometer solo attack midway through the race. As he approaches the finish line to claim victory in the Milan-Sanremo race, Mathieu van der Poel beams.
With 50 kilometers of the 257-kilometer race still to go, Van der Poel of the Alpecin-Deceuninck team joined a seven-rider leading group and took the lead.

After John Degenkolb suffered a serious collision and his major adversary Wout van Aert sustained a puncture, he subsequently launched an attack on the Carrefour de l’Arbre cobbled segment.
