At the age of 57, Dr. Rashid Buttar passed away suddenly on May 18, 2023. The doctor’s obituary hasn’t been the subject of any recent reports. But given how long it had been since his passing, his family had already carried out the private funeral rites. He was the son of Pakistani parents and was born in London in 1966.
The doctor and his parents moved to the country close to Rosebud, Missouri, when he was nine years old. He graduated from Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and religion. The University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, is where he later received his Doctor of osteopathic medicine degree.
Buttar claimed to hold board certifications from a variety of institutions, all of which Quackwatch has classified as “questionable institutions.” These groups include the American College for Advancement in Medicine, the American Academy of Integrative Medicine, and the American Academy of Preventative Medicine. The latter is mostly interested in how the chelation treatment is doing.
