Dhani began building a reputation for himself after helping his father record at home and working on his father’s final album.
Dhani and Jeff Lynne worked together to create and publish the album Brainwashed in 2002 after George’s passing in 2001.
The CD enjoyed great popularity and was awarded the Grammy for “Best Pop Instrumental Performance.”
Along with his father’s former bandmates, Dhani performed at the event honoring the first anniversary of his father’s passing. At the show, Dhani provided acoustic guitar support.
Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood, and Prince shared the stage with Dhani. While My Guitar Gently Weeps, a hauntingly lovely song, was performed by them.
Thenewno2 released their debut album, You Are Here, in August 2008 after Dhanis and his new band began recording in 2006. They later issued the well-received tracks Yomp and Crazy Tuesday.
Fistful of Mercy, a brand-new band, was created in February 2010. Dhani Harrison, Ben Harper, and Joseph Arthur made up the band. Harrison accepted their invitation to travel with them after meeting Joseph in a skate park in Santa Monica.
A week’s worth of performances were devoted to Dhani’s father. The Conan gigs were ultimately a sold-out event.
In typical Dhani fashion, he created the record and documentary The George Fest.
Dhani spent his free time learning the ins and outs of film composing while maintaining a full-time job in the music business.
On his official Instagram account, where he displays the tracks he’s working on, you can see more of his work.
He co-wrote and co-starred in the movies Beautiful Creatures and Learning to Drive with Paul Hicks. Additionally, the duo produced the music for the television series Good Girls Revolt and scored the show The Divide.
