Hamby was a member of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons from 2011 to 2015. In the Atlantic Coast League, she was the top player (ACC). She dominated the nation’s top league in scoring and rebounds as a junior. It was significant to be the first Demon Deacon to lead the ACC in both categories in the same season.
She also became Wake Forest’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder with 1,801 points and 1,021 rebounds. She was included in the first ACC players’ team and considered for the John R. Wooden Award, which is given to the nation’s top female collegiate basketball player.
