Hester has been concentrating on his own business since leaving Storage Wars. The majority of the gifted auctioneer’s time is spent running and offering advice on bids.
Speaking of his career in reality TV, Dave first appeared in “High Noon in the High Desert” from Storage Wars’ first season. Before his abrupt departure during season three, he was frequently featured on the show.
Storage Wars made various accusations against A&E production in 2012, which led to his termination. Subsequently, Hester sued the production firm for $750,000, claiming that the expert bidder had been fired unfairly.
Midway through 2014, their case was settled. According to International Business Times, the court had mandated in March of the previous year that Dave give A&E $122,000 in order to settle the company’s mounting legal costs from their legal dispute.
Following the settlement, Dave also made the detour to the program, and he went on to feature in five more seasons. The show’s other cast members include Laura Dotson, Dan Dotson, and Mary Padian.
