Dan Reynolds

Dan Reynolds

Uncover essential perspectives about Dan Reynolds.

Dan Reynolds had always had a soft spot for music and had always wanted to be a professional musician, but there was a clear reluctance in the beginning, which was partly owing to his future bandmate Wayne Sermon’s opinion. Dan recognized he couldn’t make anything else but music, so he dedicated himself to it until he received his big break in 2010, when he was asked to stand in for “Train” at a music festival after their vocalist became unwell only hours before the show.

With Dan at the lead, “Imagine Dragons” signed with Interscope Records in 2011 and released their first studio album a year later. “Night Visions,” their debut album, earned the Billboard Music Award for Top Rock Album. They’ve been making music that has moved audiences since then.

In 2010, Dan Reynolds formed the band “Egyptian,” where he met his future wife, Aja. They only recorded four songs together, and that was the end of the band, but the beginning of a great collaboration.
