She received the Ivor Novello lifetime achievement award from the British Academy in 2014. In Europe, particularly in London, she is also a well-known songwriter, lyricist, and brilliant composer. She was awarded the British Academy of Songwriters and Authors in 2006. Another significant achievement was her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
Christine has received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. She collaborated on two pieces with Shack, including I’d rather go blind. She became engaged to John McVie, one of the most prominent violinists of the period, and married him in 1968. When she was persuaded by her friends, she decided to join a band called Sound Blue. Christine’s personal life was full of ups and downs, and she was not as successful in her personal life as she was in her professional life.
