Chandler Powell is married to Bindi Irwin, his long-term girlfriend. Irwin, the daughter of late naturalist and media icon Steve Irwin, is a 21-year-old dedicated naturalist. Powell and Irwin married in a secret candlelit ceremony on March 25, 2020, in the gardens of Australia Zoo in Queensland, which was founded by Irwin’s grandparents.
Powell first encountered Irwin in November 2014 at Australia Zoo, where he spends his time with his parents. They stayed in touch after that day and continued writing letters for months before reuniting in the United States in 2015. He was now considered a member of the family, and he was given a khaki Australia Zoo outfit.
Powell is also a Global Ambassador for the Irwin Family’s Wildlife Warriors Program, which is a conservation group.
