Dane Rashford is accused of ‘punching’ his girlfriend in the face after poring over her texts following a night out in Miami Beach.
Marcus Rashford’s brother was arrested, while his girlfriend, the mother of his child, switched hotel rooms because she felt unsafe.
On October 20, 2023, he was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, on suspicion of domestic violence. The Miami-Dade Police Department made the arrest.
The next day, Dane Rashford appeared in court, where his bond for release pending his pre-trial hearing was set at $1,500 (£1,224).
The charge levelled against him was a misdemeanor of battery, specifically defined as domestic violence.
Dane Rashford works closely with his brother Marcus as an FA-registered intermediary. He is also a director at DN May Sports Management, where Marcus Rashford is represented.
However, neither Manchester United nor Dane Rashford have commented on the situation. Rashford has pleaded not guilty in the case, which is still ongoing.
Furthermore, he has another hearing scheduled for November 27, 2023. Dane has been issued a pre-trial ‘ stay away order,’ which means he is not allowed to contact the victim.
Dane’s bond was paid by Chantelle Maynard a week after his arrest, according to Miami-Dade County police records.
He was also served with a pre-trial ‘stay-away order, which forbids him from contacting the alleged victim.
