The Moonbin family statement requested that the funeral proceedings be carried out privately, without media coverage or public intrusion, to respect their mourning process.
They expressed their desire for the entire funeral process, including the wake and departure of the funeral procession, to be carried out without coverage from the media and for those mourning to be given privacy.
In a statement released on April 20, Moonbin’s agency, Fantagio, announced that the funeral proceedings for the late K-Pop artist would be held privately at the request of his bereaved family.
Fantagio also confirmed that Moonbin’s fellow ASTRO members, JinJin and Sanha, oversee his wake. However, they mentioned that Cha Eun Woo, another group member, is currently returning from the United States, and it’s uncertain what his future scheduled activities will be.
