Her official schooling was at Holly Springs High. In 1984, following her high school graduation, she enrolled in Spelman College. She chose music as her major, focusing on vocal performance.
Davis did, however, leave college in her final year. Cassi reportedly intended to sing about Jesus from the start, but the college preferred that she perform a senior recital. She chose to drop out because she didn’t want to sing any more songs before giving thanks to the Lord.
Cassi, a young woman with a fire ambition, said to them as she was leaving the institution, “I was angry and, at the time, I thought, I’m going to leave and one day you’re going to beg me to come back and give me an honorary degree.”
The actor finished her final credit at the college in 2008 after making the audacious decision to enroll again. Furthermore, she received other items after graduating besides her college credentials.
